45 kg elephant tusk sized by Udala forest department in Eastern India

According to forest department, after secret information they were planning for the tusks deal. Some forest officials went to tusk mafia as they are buyer. Deal was continuing with 8 pieces tusk worth Rs.18 lakhs. After that as per planning others forest officials came to spot and arrested two persons with 8 pieces of tusk which was 45 kg. Now investigation is going on.

In the last few days, two tusked elephants have been killed in Kaptipada, while one tusked has been looted. It is clear that elephant poaching in Simlipal National Park is continuing.
