Hundreds of monkeys live in a temple on a mountain in Vietnam
Hundreds of red-faced, gray-tailed monkeys have been living at Chau Thoi Pagoda (Binh Duong province) for nearly 20 years.
The main food source is fruit provided by the people who visit the temple.
Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda is an ancient temple over 300 years old, located on an area of 25 hectares, nearly 100 meters high in Binh Duong Province.
Interview:
Mr.Danh Tuan - Visitors:
I am also afraid that the monkey is dangerous, because some of them save my food, but I find it also gentle.
Ms. Phuong Hoa - Visitors:
I am also in the mountain but I rarely see monkeys, I find it cute but afraid it will jump on me.
Monk Thich Hue Thong - Chairman of Chau Thoi Pagoda:
These monkeys are natural monkeys that people release, they raise from small to large and then release them back to the wild.
I see monkeys here playing so much fun, so they buy food to feed, so they are plump and lay a lot.
