Hot clouds of Mount Sinabung avalanche occurred on March 2, 2021 07:11 WIB with a sliding distance of 3000 m to the east-southeast.

Sinabung Volcano Observation Post-PVMBG recorded seismicity on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 120 mm and a duration of 243 seconds.

Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano sent a cloud of hot ash as high as 5km on Tuesday (Mar 2), in its first big eruption since August last year.

Mount Sinabung's activity has increased since August last year and the alert for the volcano in North Sumatra province has been placed at the second-highest level.

As a result of this eruption, the Kuta Buluh sub-district was completely dark like the night covered in volcanic dust.
