Lebanon: Protests Erupt As Currency Plummets To Record Low
Protests broke out in different cities in Lebanon on Tuesday as the Lebanese pound plummeted to a record low. The demonstrations over the economic crisis turned violet and roads were closed due to burning tyres.
The exchange rate against the dollar decreased to 1,520 pounds in the evening while it was just 9,975 around noon.
