Indian engineer constructs first Sikh robot that can speak and understand Punjabi
Sarbans Kaur is the first Sikh robot to speak and understand Punjabi.
It was created and developed in seven months by Harjit Singh, a software engineer and computer teacher based in Jalandhar, India.
The robot works with artificial intelligence and a database equipped with social knowledge, arithmetic, history and entertainment.
Sarbans Kaur only answers requests in Punjabi says Harjit Singh who explains the robot was made from basic household items like toys, cardboard and electrical cables.
Harjit Singh says he built this robot to keep the Punjabi language alive while providing his students with basic knowledge of programming.
