A cafe in Hanoi, Vietnam, has put old pairs of shoes to use by using them as unique plant pots.

Footage from March 8 shows the coffee shop's interior littered with trainers, boots and sandals all containing a range of plants.

Nguyen Van Tho, the cafe's owner, said: "My village in the past is completely industrialized, the environment is too polluted. There are waste and chemicals that are discharged into the river. I wanted to do something to help protect the environment, so the idea of decorating a cafe by planting trees in shoes was born."

The shop also uses recycled bikes, tyres, plastic bottles and cans as decorations.
