Medical robot that can draw blood displayed at tech fair in China
A medical robot that can draw blood from a human arm was displayed at the 22nd China International Industry Fair.
The video, filmed in the city of Shanghai on September 17, 2020, shows a robot drawing blood from a man's arm.
According to reports, the robot can help keep distance between nurses and patients, which protects nurses' safety during the pandemic. It can also help find blood vessels for obese people and people with cancer as it is difficult for nurses to find their blood vessels.
The medical robot consists of artificial intelligence, imaging infrared and ultrasonic technology. The robot can draw blood from a human more accurately than nurses and the patients' feeling of pain will also be reduced.
