Mosha the young Asian elephant landmine victim is in hospital in Thailand

Mosha stepped on a landmine at the Myanmar- Thailand border when she was seven months old. She lost her right leg below the knee . Now sixteen she is in the care of the Friends of the Asian Elephant at their hospital in Lampang, northern Thailand, where she will remain until she dies. She was the first elephant to receive an artificial limb, which is fitted before she has a walk.
