An elephant tackled a parked motorbike in Sri Lanka's North Western Province on February 26.

The incident took place in the Karuwalagaswewa region of the Puttalam District.

CCTV footage shows an elephant appearing out of some forest cover from across a street, then breaking into a run while charging towards the parked bike. Within moments, the tusker approaches a parked bike and tackles it.

It strikes the two-wheeler with its trunk and steps on it after knocking it down.

The elephant fled from the scene after trampling the parked motorcycle. The elephants in the region are known for straying out of their protected corridors, meaning the local people are familiar with such encounters.
