Officials in Timli Range, Uttarakhand, rescued an injured sambar deer that strayed into a villager's residence on February 1.

A rescue team managed to remove the deer from the building by covering it in netting and dragging it out into the open.

Once the animal was loaded onto the back of a vehicle, the rescue team applied a medicinal spray to the deer's wounds.

Forest officials rescued an injured sambar deer from northern India's Uttarakhand on February 1. The incident took place in the Timli range of the Kalsi forest division in Dehradun.

Video shows several rescue officials saving a sambar deer that invades the residence of one of the villagers in the area. However, the team manages to rescue the creature from a cowshed by putting a piece of cloth and net around it to obstruct its movement. Following this, the animal begins to tremble inside the trap with fear but is restrained by the staff. Moreover, after confining the deer inside the vehicle, they apply a medicinal spray over its wound to ease its pain.

A rescue team of forest officials, headed by Ravi Joshi, in-charge of Dehradun's wildlife rescue team of the forest department, immediately rushed to the spot on being alerted about a deer. They rescued the injured sambar deer that strayed onto the residential premises to seek subsistence and provided it immediate medical attention.
