Patsy Stevenson, one of the women arrested at the Sarah Everard vigil in Clapham Common in March, is preparing legal action against London's Metropolitan Police unless her £200 ($278) fine is withdrawn.

She is also asking for an acknowledgement of wrongdoing and an apology, according to surreycomet.co.uk.

Stevenson, 28, was handcuffed and held down by two officers during the vigil.

Video from March 13 shows Stevenson, red-headed and wearing a mask, among the women being hauled away by Met officers from the bandstand at Clapham Common.

The Met confirmed it had received a letter from Stevenson's lawyers, the BBC reported.

Hundreds attended the vigil to honour Everard, who was found dead after she went missing while walking home.
