Leopard released back into jungle in dead of night by Indian forest officers
Forest officials released a rescued leopard into the wild in northern India's Uttarakhand on March 6. The incident took place in Jhajra, located in Dehradun.
A video shows the forest officials releasing a leopard into the wild. The team parks their vehicle in proximity to the forest cover, following which they lift the door of the cage entrapping the big cat. The leopard slowly exits the cage and sprints towards the woods before checking its surroundings.
The big cat leaped towards the forest cover and disappeared into the woods, while the officials waited in their vehicles to oversee the release operation. The leopard was rescued and released by a team of experts, headed by forest official Ravi Joshi.
