A security worker climbed over a guardrail and a handrail to stop a toddler from falling down an escalator in central China.

The heroic video, filmed in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province on March 10, shows a 1-year-old boy walking into a train station through a gate alone while his grandmother was pushing a stroller behind him.

The boy then walked towards an escalator and was about to step on it.

A security worker ran to climb over the guardrail and the escalator’s handrail quickly to carry the toddler away, preventing him from rolling down the escalator.

Thanks to the security worker’s quick action, the boy was not injured. The boy’s parents arrived at the train station to thank the security worker and all other train station staff.

3月14日上午，被救萌娃父母专程来到轨道交通7号线湖北大学站，登门感谢飞身救自己孩子的车站护卫郭庆福。
王进夫妻一走进车站站厅，就给了郭庆福一个深情拥抱，并送上写有“见义勇为，情暖人间”的锦旗。“在那危急时刻，郭庆福奋不顾身救回我们宝宝，特别是抱在怀里那一刻，我们感动得哭了。”现场，萌娃父亲王进动情地感谢郭庆福小哥，感谢武汉地铁所有工作人员。
郭庆福说，虽然一下子上了网络热搜，但对自己没啥影响，当班尽职责做好本职工作，下班后继续做一些运动锻炼身体。（视频由湖北台提供）
