Archaeologists have unearthed new Dead Sea scroll fragments from Israel's so-called Cave of Horror.

More than 20 bits of parchment were found after teams rappelled down a cave in the Judean Desert.

Footage from March 16 shows the various discoveries on display.

The discovery is the first since the early 1960s when similar fragments were found alongside numerous skeletons at the site now labelled as the Cave of Horror.

A large basket believed to the world's oldest at 10,000 years was also amongst the discoveries.

Dr. Oren Ableman, a researcher at the Israel Antiquities Authority, said: "It's the first time in over 50 years where fragments of the biblical book have been discovered in an excavation."
