Wildlife officer gets thwacked by trunk when checking injured Indian elephant

A forest department officer who went to check the health status of the elephant was hit down by the elephant.

The elephant was hit by a train in Coimbatore District of Tamilnadu. It got injured and treatment was going on to cure the illness in the elephant.

Later a forest department official just went near to check the status of the elephant. At first the elephant warned the officer not to come near to it by breathing heavily. In spite of the warning the officer continued to walk near it later it raised its trunk and warned again also.

Irrespective of the second warning the officer again went too close and the elephant lost its patience and hit the officer with its trunk. The officer fell down but he didn't sustain any injuries.
