Five people died while 30 others suffered injuries after a mini-truck overturned in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 18.

The incident took place near the Babaliya Mal village, located in the Niwas region of the Mandla district. A group of passengers traveling in a mini-truck was returning to their village after attending a wedding when the incident unfolded.

Footage shows the demolished mini-truck parked on the sidelines of the road. An excavator, along with other locals and police officials, is also present at the spot.

Following the accident, the locals helped passengers stuck in the bushes, and those injured were taken to receive medical attention in a pick-up vehicle. Later, the casualties are seen resting on the ground of a medical facility awaiting treatment.

The casualties were taken to the Narayanganj healthcare centre, from where they were rushed to a medical college in Jabalpur due to the lack of facilities for treatment.
