2 dead, 88 injured in bus accident in central India

Around two passengers died, and many others were injured in a bus accident in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 18.

The incident took place on Mahoba Road in Chattarpur, as footage shows a wrecked bus lying on the sidelines of a busy road.

Around two people died, and an estimated 88 others got injured after the intoxicated driver collided the bus onto an overbridge wall at midnight while it was going to Allahabad from Sagar.

Various citizens are put on a stretcher and rushed for treatment, while others rest on the floor. Moreover, the police officials are deployed on the accident spot to investigate and examine the situation.

Following this, the casualties were transferred to a District Hospital in Chattarpur, where 12 of the passengers were still critical.

The driver is currently being held accountable for the accident, as he was intoxicated and had violated the capacity of the bus by overloading it with 90 passengers or more.
