Thousands of activists marched through Tel Aviv, Israel, to emphasise the importance of climate issues.

Footage from March 19 shows large groups of activists culminating in Habimah Square.

The marches were organised to bring attention to climate issues in light of the country's current Knesset elections.

Natalia, the filmer, is seen saying: "Friends, we are currently on the climate strike in Tel Aviv, look how many people are here. The entire Rothschild Boulevard is filled with young people who take part in this climate strike. I am so amazed by this, just look at the scale."

Israeli teenagers have taken up an election issue of their own: climate change, with thousands advocating for it in a Tel Aviv march on Friday morning.

Activist groups have been organizing marches over the last few days, to create noise and gain traction on the issue, specifically for the current election candidates, as Israel's next Knesset is voted in on Tuesday.
The march culminated at Habimah Square, with the message of

"Choosing climate - choosing life." In order to emphasize the severity of the planet's situation, once the protesters have reached the square, they conducted a countdown, and emphatically fell down, symbolizing the future destruction if nothing is done to address the climate crisis.
