Footage shows residents enjoying outdoor activities in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday (March 19).


The filmer said: 'Here's an interesting little place called Huai Khwang Stadium in Bangkok. As the name suggests, it's in the Huai Khwang area though it's not exactly a stadium - more like a large outdoor concrete yard with a basketball court, volleyball court and sepak takraw nets.

'The video was from a Friday evening around 6pm , with lots of children, families and men present. Some were having an outdoor aerobics class (hence the throbbing trance music in the background) and others were just sitting in groups having a picnic. Lots of children were having fun and there were groups playing sports.

'The Huai Khwang Stadium, which you might have seen on the map if ordering a Grab taxi from the area, was a hive of activity. There's some suggestion it's home to Huai Khwang FC, though most evenings its full of lots of families enjoying outdoor activities. Some of them are also Burmese from neighbouring Myanmar, probably migrant workers enjoying a little down time.

'The thing I like about places like Huai Khwang Stadium is that it reminds me that most of the people don't have much more than a penny to their name, but they're happy just spending time with friends and family outside, eating and having fun.'
