Drone footage captured a 125-square-kilometre area of colourful rhododendrons blooming in southwestern China.

The impressive clip was shot in the city of Bijie in Guizhou Province on March 10.

The peak bloom period of the rhododendron is between the end of March and early May.

说到世界著名的花海，你可以会想到法国的普罗旺斯，或者荷兰的郁金香。然而，世界最大的天然花海却是在贵州省的百里杜鹃。从面积上来说，普罗旺斯是4000公顷，差不多40平方公里，而百里杜鹃的面积能够达到125平方公里。
位于贵州省毕节市大方县的百里杜鹃花林带，是世界上最大的原始杜鹃花林带，杜鹃花林绵延百里，故称百里杜鹃。每年的3月初，杜鹃花树上便有星星点点的杜鹃花开始展露美颜，相继开放，3月下旬到5月初便是盛花期，绵延百里的杜鹃花海吸引了海内外游客慕名而来。这里漫山遍野的杜鹃花便先后怒放，那五彩缤纷、铺天盖地的气势好不壮观，好一幅“千峰叠起嶂，杜鹃花似海，满山留异香”的美丽画卷。
