The Indian Army gave a terrorist a chance to surrender in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on March 22. The incident took place in the Shopian district.

Visuals show the authorities giving the terrorist a chance to surrender. Stationed in the middle of the hideout, the soldiers use a megaphone to grab the terrorist's attention. Later, they allow the militant's wife and child to persuade him to surrender. They cry out on the megaphone and urge the terrorist to give up.

The authorities encountered four terrorists associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit. However, as per protocols, the Indian Army gave Aqib Malik a chance to surrender and even asked his wife and child to persuade him. Upon failure of which, Aqib died in an encounter with the security forces.
