Phurong Dung recorded his friend Cong Ly together with her partner huddled together under the bedsheet while riding in Can Tho City during a cold spell on January 13.
Temperatures in parts of Vietnam had plunged to single digits at the time, with frost and snow in higher regions.
Phurong said: ‘I asked my friend why they took that on the road. He told me they were cold so they used the cloth to keep them warm.’
