By order of the town hall, the protesters occupying the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux were evicted on Wednesday, March 24.

The late 18th-century monument was occupied on March 15 by 'cultural actors' calling for the reopening of cultural places, which was supported by the General Confederation Of Labour (CGT). But other groups centered on "convergence of struggles" and the fight against precariousness joined on March 18 which led to some of the initial occupants leaving the premises.

The town hall argued that the current occupation is no longer part of the national demands of cultural actors.
