Artist creates massive folk art pattern to spread awareness regarding face masks in central India
The police officials got a massive folk art pattern called Rangoli made to spread awareness regarding face masks in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 26. The incident took place in Betul.
Visuals show several police officials wearing masks gathered around the massive rangoli. The meticulously designed pattern features a police officer's mask-clad face. The rangoli, spread across an entire section of land, grabs the attention of the onlookers and spreads awareness towards wearing face masks during the pandemic.
Shrenik Jain, the rangoli artist, in association with the local police, created the massive art piece spread across a 75-feet-wide helipad in the Police Ground in Betul. The officials wanted to convey a message regarding the importance of wearing masks during the pandemic.
Jain implemented the police's idea of the rangoli with assistance from school students. Meanwhile, the authorities are also engaged in other measures of spreading awareness, like implementing stricter rules and charging fines against violators.
