CCTV of suicide bomb blast at Makassar City Cathedral, Indonesia
CCTV video shows the moment a suicide bomb exploded in front of the Cathedral Church of Makassar city, Indonesia at around 10:15am local time on Sunday March 28.
The alleged perpetrator appears to detonate the bomb while riding a motorbike into the churchyard. They are thought to have been killed, while at least 10 worshippers have been injured, some of them seriously.
Body parts found at the scene are so far unidentified, raising the possibility of more fatalities or that more than one attacker was involved.
The attackers are thought to have been targeting people leaving a service on Palm Sunday, the first day of the Easter period.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing though militant Islamists have attacked Indonesian churches in the past.
Police are at the scene and a number of survivors have been evacuated to a safe place.
The CCTV footage was distributed by local South Sulawesi authorities.
