Protest movement against the climate law in Paris, France

A planned environmental rally against the law climate was held in Paris a day before the French National Assembly debates amendments to a climate bill introduced by the Civil Climate Convention.
According to unofficial data, about 20 thousand people in Paris and more than 100 thousand people all over France participated in the action.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of the Citizens' Convention for Climate, a body made up of 150 randomly selected French citizens, tasked with outlining proposals to cut France's greenhouse gas emissions.
Members of the Convention have been criticising the government for turning down most of their proposals. Environmental groups, for their part, say that the current legislation won't help France achieve its climate goals.
