Army personnel carry pregnant woman on shoulders in northern India
Army troops carried a pregnant woman on their shoulders to reach the hospital in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on March 30. The incident took place in Jabri of Kupwara district.
A video features a couple of army personnel carrying a pregnant woman on their shoulders after fastening her to a stretcher during the night. Following this, they rush to provide her immediate medical attention and keep a check on her all the time.
A 20-year-old pregnant woman was carried from Jabri to Sub-District Hospital in Karnah during the night. The troops walked for about 8 km (4.9 miles) to provide the lady immediate medical attention. Furthermore, after reaching the vehicle, they transferred her to a hospital.
