Police in Andhra Pradesh, southern India, cracked several robberies and seized goods worth over USD $20,000.

CCTV footage shows two criminals lifting a temple's property off the premises.

Police in Kurnool managed to apprehend the criminals along with a motorcycle, jewellery, ornaments and a cellphone worth around $23,700.

The police officials cracked six temple theft cases and a house robbery case in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on March 30. The incident took place in Kurnool.

Visuals feature a couple of miscreants lifting a temple's property off the premises. Later, the police officials apprehend the goons and display the recovered items during a conference. They present several bundles of cash and jewelry against a blue backdrop and explain the details of the case.

The police personnel arrested the goons with the help of CCTV footage from the temples at Veldurthi, Gonegandla, Halaharvi, and a house in Gudur. The police apprehended three persons on the charge of stealing from the Veldurthi Thikkaratha Swamy temple, the Ayyappa Swamy temple, and Yellamma Thalli temple on March 1.

Among the other accused were Pagidyala Subbarayudu, Nagaluri Adinarayana, Nagaluri Janayya, Gurnadham Gangaraju, Nagaluri Yesebu, and Gurnadham Anjaneyulu, who committed theft in three temples. Moreover, the police recovered cash worth Rs 4 thousand (USD 54.67) and a dagger from the goons.

The police also arrested Nagaluru Adinarayana and Nagaluru Janayya, who stole cash from the Kasi Neelakantheswara Swamy and Chintalamuni Swamy temples on March 22. The authorities recovered Rs 36,448 (USD 498) and a motorcycle from the miscreants.

Furthermore, the officials arrested Nagaluri Chinna Venkatesh and Gurunadham Yedukondalu for theft in the Halaharvi Belagutta Basaveswara Swamy temple. They retrieved cash worth Rs 60,400 (USD 825), a motorcycle, and jewelry.

The police also made arrests regarding the house thefts and recovered cash worth Rs 16 lakh (USD 21,875), ornaments worth Rs 35 thousand (USD 478), and a cellphone. The authorities arrested the accused and successfully retrieved the stolen items.
