Forest officials conducted a raid and recovered deer meat from the poacher's house in eastern India's West Bengal on April 2. The incident took place in Nayagram village in Jhargram district.

Following this, an official explains how he manages to hunt the deer using a trap in the forest. Moreover, the accused denies these facts to the public while the locals gather around to witness and behold the occurrence.

The forest officials arrested a poacher, identified as Paru Murmur, from the village for smuggling and consuming deer meat. Moreover, the accused had trapped the deer using a wire in the forest cover. However, based on a tip-off, the officials raided his house and recovered the meat, skin, and horn of the creature. Furthermore, they seized all the items and presented the accused in court while an investigation into the matter is still underway.
