Protesters have demonstrated in the heart of London as well as several other cities in the UK against a crime bill that they say will restrict the right to protest.

Video filmed early on Saturday evening (April 3) shows baton-wielding police making arrests in Trafalgar Square. Protesters can be heard chanting, "Whose streets? Our streets!"

London's Metropolitan Police tweeted: "Today’s policing operation is still ongoing and arrest numbers may rise, but at this time, 26 people have been arrested for a variety of offences. Ten police officers received injuries during the operation; none of these are believed to be serious."
