Zoe Moore-Runck managed to raise over $500 on GoFundMe for her grandmother who cares for stray cats in her neighbourhood.

Trudy has been taking care of stray cats in Cincinnati, Ohio, for over 22 years.

The emotional footage shows Moore-Runck hand over the cash to her grandmother after explaining that netizens had been donating to her cause.

Trudy asks "are you sure it's not your money?" before embracing her granddaughter.

The emotional grandmother then turns to the camera and says: "Thank you so much to all the people who donated for my kitty cats."

Moore-Runck told Newsflare: "My 85-year-old grandmother has been feeding cats in my town twice a day for over 22 years.

"She has also been the reason the town has less than 150 strays running around. She spays and neuters all of the cats and then tries to find them a forever home.

"She also spends her own money to care for the vet bills of the cats in the town. We have $500 in the video. We are almost to our $1,000 goal."

This footage was filmed on March 22 by Moore-Runck's mother, Mary.
