A massive fire broke out in a nursery, destroying several plants in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 5. The incident took place in Khimlasa, located in the Khurai region of the Sagar district.

Visuals feature a section of the nursery set ablaze. High flames engulf the greenery and widely spread to the surrounding as clouds of smoke rise in the region. Later, the fire department personnel rush tenders to the spot and spray water on the blaze to control the situation.

Fire tenders from Khurai and Bina rushed to the spot upon being alerted and contained the fire. However, by that time, several bamboos, mango, and eucalyptus trees were damaged in the blaze. The fire destroyed greenery spread across an acre of land.

The fire was subdued with the collective effort of the officials and the locals. Moreover, a forester associated with the Khurai Forest Department was also deployed in the region but was nowhere to be seen when the fire broke out.
