A lorry driver who was reported to have had too much to drink managed to get his vehicle stuck between two sets of train tracks in northern India on Monday (April 5).

Footage filmed in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh showed the lorry with the front wheels stuck in one set of tracks and the back wheels in another.

Authorities managed to prevent a major disaster by halting two trains as they approached the stricken lorry.

Railway officials called in an excavator which hauled the vehicle from the tracks.

No one was harmed in the incident but the blockage caused four trains to run 50 minutes late.

An inebriated driver got a lorry stuck on the railway tracks in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 5. The incident took place in Bina in the Sagar district.

A video features a truck stuck onto the railway tracks in broad daylight. Following this, an excavator begins to pull the transport while the driver also accelerates the lorry to get out of the railway crossing. Moreover, the cops and locals present on the spot guide them throughout the process. However, after a while, they successfully extract the lorry out of the tracks.

An inebriated driver drove his lorry onto a railway crossing which was closed after an overbridge was being constructed there. However, due to lack of any barricading, he drove past the crossing and got the wheels of the transport stuck on the railway tracks. Following this incident, a Sultanpur Express going towards Jhansi from Bhopal and a Kushinagar Express from Jhansi to Bina were halted on either side to avoid a mishap.

When the railway officials came to know about the truck getting stuck on the Delhi-Mumbai railway line track, the attendees and an excavator attempted to push the truck from the railway line. Moreover, four trains were running 50 minutes late due to this incident.
