See a Real Contraction During a Home Birth! It's Not What You Might Imagine!
We had a water birth at home. At this point, I'd been in labor for more than 48 hours already, and the contractions were coming really close. I was so out of it that I didn't even really realize that Charles was making vegan sushi in between my contractions. (He was pretty out of it too, haha.) He meant it to be my first meal post-birth, but we ended up leaving it on the ground where our dog ate all but a couple bites of it! The labor got harder and harder, and it wasn't til after 10am the next morning that our daughter Tzivia was finally born.
