A woman from Brighton got the fright of her life recently when a flock of seagulls dive-bombed and stole her lunch.

The unlucky local was walking near the American Express Community Stadium on April 8 with some takeaway chips when the brazen gulls launched their attack.

The first bird landed on her shoulder causing her to drop her lunch and then the rest of the feathery bandits joined the feeding frenzy.

"In less than thirty seconds all her lunch has disappeared into the stomachs of the daring birds," said the filmer Alex Hood.

In Brighton, the seagulls are braver than in other parts of the country. In particular, the area surrounding the American Express Community Stadium. Here, you can regularly see the gulls swoop down and steal the food from passers-by.
