Gold and silver ornaments were unearthed when a person was digging on his property in southern India's Telangana on April 8. The incident transpired in Pembarthi village in Jangaon district.

A video features the locals gathering near a spot where a person discovered gold and silver ornaments buried underneath the ground. Following this, the cops stationed on the spot examine the situation while the onlookers witness and behold the occurrence.

The plot owner, identified as Narasimha, a resident of Hyderabad, a real estate businessman, was converting his 11-acre land into a residential plot. For this purpose, they were digging the area and found a pot containing gold and silver valuables two feet deep into the plot. Following this, Narasimha alerted the local authorities.

Gold ornaments weighing 189.8 grams (0.418 lbs) and silver ornaments weighing 1.7 kilograms (3.7 lbs) were unearthed. Along with that, 6.5 grams (0.0143 lbs) of ruby was also discovered, and the copper pot weighed 1.2 kilograms (2.646 lbs).

The recovered ornaments consisted of 22 gold earrings weighing 77.2 grams (0.17 lbs), 51 gold beads weighing 57.8 grams (0.12 lbs), 11 gold necklaces weighing 17.8 grams (0.03 lbs), and other gold items. Similarly, 26 silver sticks weighing 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs), five silver chains weighing 216 grams (0.47 lbs), and other items weighing 42 grams (0.09 lbs) were retrieved and seized.

Moreover, the Pembarthi village council head, Anjaneyula Goud, suspects that the valuables could be from the Kakatiya dynasty period and if further excavation is carried out in the region, more items could be recovered. However, authorities have ordered the property owner against carrying out any digging activities until further notice.
