Chicken and meat prices rise ahead of Ramadan in Indonesia

Towards the month of Ramadan, the price of chicken and meat in a number of areas has increased. In the rebo market in East Jakarta, the price of chickens, which was originally priced at 25 thousand rupiah per head, increased to 45 thousand rupiah per head. The price of beef also increased from 120 thousand per kilogram to 130-135 thousand rupiah. According to one trader, the increase in prices for chicken and beef will continue ahead of the month of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr.
