A hard of hearing performer did not let her disability get in the way of her love of music when she performed the Mariah Carey song ‘Hero’ in American sign language (ASL).

Kimberley Mimi Sue said she hoped her performance of the inspiring song would send a message of courage and resilience.

“I set an example for people who have other disabilities and people in general — that we can do anything we put our minds to, and there’s a hero inside us all” she said.

I am a deaf/hard of hearing performer, performing the song “Hero”. I am hoping this would inspire people in sending a message of courage and resilience by not allowing my disability get in the way of my love for music and for performing.
