Voting will take place from 7 in the morning to 7 at night to choose the new president of Peru and the 130 congressmen for the next 5 years. The authorities decided that the first two hours should be for the elderly, pregnant women and those with illnesses, however in many polling places there was a great absence of those responsible for each polling station. Another peculiarity is that to avoid crowding it has been decided to use other places such as streets, stadiums and other sports centers, due to their large size and ventilation, this to avoid the possible contagion of Covid-19.
There was also a breakfast meeting with Keiko Fujimori, daughter of former President Fujimori, imprisoned for corruption and crimes against humanity. She's running for the presidency for the 3rd time. She's among the first places in the polls.
