YouTuber builds bizarre robot that corrects bad posture by hitting him on head
A YouTuber from Chile has built a bizarre robot that corrects his bad posture by hitting him on the head.
Ionel Pop decided to build "Tatequieto-bot" after noticing how bad his posture had become due to slouching
“The original plan was to make myself a robot that would make me go from slouching to the correct sitting position," said the inventor Ionel Pop.
detects my posture by using a series of infrared sensors on the back of the robot that measures the distance I am from the robot. “
“I used some wood and old plastics I had lying around, and a couple of components I had left. It uses computer vision and an infrared sensor to determine my posture and know if I'm sitting properly or not,” he added.
“I knew I was sitting badly but just having the evidence wouldn’t make me sit better so I added a wooden stick so it hits me on the head whenever I sit badly," he concluded.
This clip was filmed in the town of Copiapó on April 3.
