Ukraine accused Russia of building up troops near the border, as well as escalating violence in Donbas.

Satellite imagery and eyewitness accounts show that troop numbers are growing, and just a few kilometers from the border with the Ukrainian region, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have received Russian passports.

The Russian government says these maneuvers are just military training.
