A paramotor pilot was forced to crash land in the sea after suffering an engine failure over the Isle of Wight, UK.

Dave P's engine cut out as he was flying over the North Sea seeing the pilot gradually drift down towards the water's surface.

The filmer managed to successfully perform an emergency landing as his paramotor was fitted with a flotation device.

Dave was able to prepare an emergency call.

Paramotor pilot Dave P. performs an emergency landing and crashes into the north sea after enjoying a beautiful flight near the coast of Isle of Wight, England. After about 3:12 mins in the video, the motor of his paramotor died down due to overheating (which melted the piston rings and the compression was lost) while he was too far away from the coast already to make it back. Since water landings very often end deadly for paragliding and paramotor pilots (not to mention a landing in the open sea) it was a near death scenario for him. Luckily his paramotor had a floatation device fitted which was purchased separately and he was able to prepare for an emergency call just in time!
