Crops worth Rs 50 thousand (USD 663) were destroyed after a lorry carrying them caught on fire in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 11. The incident took place in Deori, located in the Sagar district.

Visuals feature the wheat crops set ablaze. The flames erupt and engulf the wheat, turning the produce to ash. Meanwhile, clouds of dense, grey smoke envelop the region. Later, the fire officials rush to the spot and spray water on the blaze to gain control of the situation.

The lorry was on its way from Tindani when it struck some dangling electrical wires, and a short-circuit-induced fire broke out in the vehicle. Following this, the Deori Municipal Corporation rushed a fire tender to the spot.

It took the fire officials nearly two hours to contain the fire, which destroyed crops worth Rs 50 thousand (USD 663). However, no casualties were reported, and a fatal accident was averted with the collective effort of the locals and the authorities.
