As these couple of months are the breeding season for the tortoise wildlife department adviced fisherman that if they happen to see or catch a tortoise they should inform the department.

Likewise a kodiyakkarai of Nagapattinam district in Tamilnadu found a tortoise that was struggling to reach its way to the sea. Seeing it's struggle the fisherman informed the forest department official s. They rushed to the spot tied the tortoise in a floating tube and left it in the shallow waters.

After that again the tortoise came to the shore and again struck itself in the sand. Then the forest department official s took a fishing boat and went into the deep waters and released the tortoise in the deep waters . Then it swam into the sea happily.
