A Russell's viper in Odisha, India, was rescued after spending five days trapped in a fishing net.

Footage from April 13 shows an official freeing the snake by using scissors to cut away the netting.

The rescuer took the snake to a vet to receive medical attention as it had suffered a severe injury.

A vet managed to stitch the snake's cut skin back up and the viper was later released back into the wild.

After trapped in fishing net more than 5 to 6 days one adult Russell viper struggled to escape but couldn't.

Some children spotted the snake when they were playing near the fence where the snake trapped. His father informed immediately to the animal rescuer. Rescuers have been cut the fishing net with a scissors.

After rescued the Viper, rescuers noticed that snake's injured when snake was trying to escape. Rescuers took the injured snake to veterinarian. One team of Doctor stitched the snake.

Veterinarian doctor said now the snake's condition is good to release in natural habitat.
