Students and members of the Cape Town LGBTQI+ community embarked on a protest march from the Cape Town University of Technology to Parliament. The protest comes after a spate of recent homophobic attacks and murders.

Soli Philander, a well known Cape Town actor, performance artist and community activist joined the march and said the kind of horror they were protesting should arrest communities and society should be standing still in horror.
