An intoxicated man crashed his car near a residential area in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 16. The incident took place in Khurai, located in the Sagar district.

Visuals from the incident feature a speeding vehicle entering the frame. The driver loses control of the automobile and hits a pole near the railway crossing. Following this, the car proceeds to crash into a gate of a residence. The impact almost uproots the pole as the screws holding it together get damaged.

Following the incident, the car's front bumper was detached and severely damaged. The locals gathered around upon hearing loud crashes and rushed to the spot to help the driver.

The incident allegedly averted a major disaster as the area was empty due to the pandemic-induced curfew. The police found the driver in an inebriated state and took him into custody. Moreover, an investigation is underway.
