In this video, demonstrators hold a vigil in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park for Daunte Wright, who was fatally shot by a police officer in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

Mourners laid flowers near a portrait of Wright and chanted: “Say his name!”.

The event was organized and led by activist Jason C. Peters, who said: “I hope they never forget his name, and really uplift his name, and fight for justice and equality of every single Black life.”

The footage was filmed on April 17 in New York.
