At about 3:15 am, Hemet Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian near the intersection of Sanderson Ave and Fruitvale Ave. Officers arriving first on scene located a female adult laying unresponsive in the roadway. CPR was started on scene while medical personnel were en route. The woman was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. Witnesses on scene in a red sedan who called police stated that the suspect vehicle was traveling northbound and that the driver was a black female. It's unknown at this time if police have located the suspect vehicle or if any arrests have been made. Sanderson Ave from Fruitvale Ave to Eaton Ave has been shut down in both directions of travel pending the conclusion of a crime scene investigation.
