A hiker managed to capture footage of a lava stream flowing from the erupting volcano in Geldingadalir, Iceland.

Footage from April 10 shows steam being emitted as the boiling substance consumes the surrounding greenery.

Kolbrún Árnadóttir, the filmer of this video, said: "I captured this scene of the lava flowing from a volcano that is currently erupting in Iceland."

He added: "On April 10, my family and I went hiking to see the eruption and noticed that a new crater had formed during the night."

What's being shown here is a river of lava flowing down the mountain smoothly while melting tiny pieces and blocks of rocks in its path.
